MTNL Perfect Health Mela as a module for creating health awareness was conceptualized by Heart Care Foundation of India, for the first time in 1993 and the world's first Perfect Health Mela was organized at Talkatora Cricket grounds. Govt. of India earmarked the event by releasing Rs. 6.50 postal commemorative stamp. Later this concept was adopted officially by Min. of Health & Family Welfare Division under the Swasthya Mela scheme and organized melas all over the country.
HIGHLIGHTS
nterschool, inter college, inter nursing school, inter NGO, inter hospitals, inter IMA branches, inter medical colleges, inter dancing schools etc. competitions are organised on various days. The themes vary from poster making, painting, slogan, rangoli, role-play, mock parliament, music, dance, debate and quizzes. The theme can be on any aspect of health.
