"A study by the Mckinsey Global Institute suggests that if india can achieve 7.3 per cent annual growth a reasonable assumption if economic reforms continue consumer spending will quadruple from about 17 trillion Indian rupees ($372 billion) in 2005 to 70 trillion rupees in 2025. The dramatic growth in India's middle class, which will constitute about 583 million people, will power this surge. Consumer durables popularly known as white goods is expected to show a growth of 15 per cent, for the fiscal year ending March 2009, as against March 2008. Under the accerlerating surge of the good developing tide, we should grasp the opportunity in order to occupy the India market. A report suggests that the growth of refrigerators will take place between 18-22 per cent and that of air conditioners in the range of 32-35 per cent. Washing machines segment is likely to grow between 15-20 per cent, microwave ovens by 35 per cent and colour televisions in the range of 25-30 per cent, so India has to import a large number of consumer electronic products, home appliances and other consumer durables, China is well known as the World’s Factory, as well as the main region for the electronic products consumption and the manufacturing base for the home and household appliances. Due to the India’s accelerating national economy, as well as the steady growth of its consumers’ income, the electronics, home appliances and household products are in huge demands. These facts are the proof of success in electronics, home appliances and household products industry business.
